Karen Martin, from Plymouth, is now desperate to meet her father who is suffering from ill health and dementia thousands of miles away in Australia.
A mum herself, 56-year-old Karen was put into long-term foster care when she was just three years old. Since then she had little to no contact with her biological mother and had never met her biological father gathering little more information than his name over the years.
But in 2022 she joined genetics site 23andMe hoping she would finally get answers.
