Needing six points in order to move up a place in the table, Andrew Regan and Pete Ireland made a flying start in their match against Arash Dinari and Lawrence Hay.
Andy's quickness at the net and Pete's court coverage and ground strokes overwhelmed Arash and Lawrence and Andy and Pete dominated the first set winning it 6-2.
That proved to be the wake up call for Arash and Lawrence who were determined to finish the season unbeaten, and they therefore upped their game in the final two sets, with Lawrence hitting good groundshots and Arash stealing in at the net to turn the game on its head, winning the final two sets in quick succession 6-1, 6-1 and leaving their unbeaten run intact.
Andy and Pete were pleased to get the points they needed to move them up a place in the table.
James Driscoll and Mark Skerton were too strong for John Putman and sub Lee Horton on the night in Men's B winning 6-2, 6-1, 6-2.
Alan Mayes and sub James Spurgeon ere more consistent against Bob Verey and Andy Weymouth in Men's A and put away their chances to win 5-6, 6-4, 6-3.
