ALMOST 95,000 people have already supported a campaign launched to save Dartmoor hill ponies from possible extinction.
An online petition is calling on the Government to step in to halt the decline in the number of ponies that freely roam across Dartmoor, having done so for centuries.
Natural England, the Government's advisory body for the natural environment, has stated that it has not called for a cull of Dartmoor hill ponies and that the importance of maintaining the herd has been recognised.
