LAST Friday, March 14, the local charity Plymouth Music Accord put on its annual concert in Plymouth University's Sherwell Centre, showcasing eight of the tuition groups it funds in five local schools.

To open, seven and eight-year old recorder players from St Peter's Church of England Primary School, in Rendle Street, delighted a full hall with their confident and very accurate performances.

Four strings ensembles from Devonport High School contributed baroque, folk and ballet music.

Sutton Harbour Group deadline to pay £8m

THE company which holds the lease for Plymouth’s disused airport has been given more time to sell off vital assets including Millbay’s King Point Marina and pay its bank £8.69m. Sutton Harbour Group Plc (SHG) was told by National Westminster Bank Plc to pay off £1.5m of debts by yesterday (March 20).
