A PROJECT that aims to restore populations of rare insects along the coast of South Devon has been awarded over £2 million from the National Lottery.
The Life on the Edge scheme by the South Devon National Landscape – formerly South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – will deliver a programme to restore populations of some of the UK’s rarest insects along the coast, from Berry Head to Wembury.
The project has received a £2,246,965 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and will be delivered with partner organisations including Buglife, the National Trust, the South West Coast Path Association and The Box.
