Prynn and Steer goals earn Tavistock a draw

TAVISTOCK manager Stuart Henderson praised his players for their performance, but felt they could have come away as winners from their Division One South trip to Malvern Town.

After falling behind to what he called 'another soft goal' the Lambs responded in style with goals from Liam Prynn and Luke Steer putting them 2-1 in front only for a controversial penalty to deny them, with Jack Watts sending Aaron Dearing the wrong way from 12 yards.

But Henderson felt his team did enough over the 90 minutes to have won the game, given the amount of chances they created.

"I am delighted with the performance, but there is a tinge of disappointment because I thought we had the better chances in the game," he said.

"I said to the lads when we came in at half-time at 0-0, Jake Shaw is coming in at the back post and has chosen to go with his foot when he should have headed in and Prynny has hit one over from six yards, which is unheard of from that position,but it happens, so we could have been 2-0 up.
