UPSET AT LOSS OF CATTEDOWN PHARMACY
DAVID PRINCE
Readers hit out at Boots closure

READERS have been discussing the sudden closure of the Boots pharmacy in Cattedown which has left locals both baffled and inconvenienced. People who live in the area say that they will now find it difficult to access vital medications.

Several Boots pharmacies were shut for good earlier this year and the Cattedown branch was one of them, the premises now empty and up for let. The pharmacy closure leaves Cattedown residents with no handy counter nearby to pick up prescriptions – despite there being a GP surgery a short walk away from the now-closed store.

Now, the closest chemist for medication collection is Ebrington Pharmacy, a small independent pharmacy in Ebrington Street – or the larger Boots in Plymouth city centre.
