A FRENCH restaurant in Royal William Yard invited 30 people to enjoy a free three-course dinner, as part of a promotion to help elderly and lonely residents.
It was the second year that Bistrot Pierre have welcomed guests for a free meal as part of a partnership with Age UK Plymouth.
The restaurant had promised a free three-course meal for every Sunday party booking of six people or more - with 30 places being offered.
One happy Age UK attendee said afterwards: "I want to thank all the team at Bistrot Pierre for the best day I have had in a long time.
"Everyone was so welcoming and although there were lots of people attending everyone had time to talk to me.
