Retro Chic salon takes step back in own premises

TWO sisters who run a hair salon in Peverell have made the difficult decision to move to the back of the shop and rent the front out to another business. Chrissy Ruby and Diane Whiteley needed a way to cut costs amid the rising cost of living.

Chrissy, 52, and Diane, 50, have run Retro Chic since 2011 and are treating the slight relocation as a ‘new chapter’. They have taken the opportunity to renovate with a new design for the back area realising that by spending money now they will save in the long run.

They have rented out half the salon to Laura Bates, a nurse who has opened her own clinic offering health interventions and treatments.
