A NEW seafood market and outdoor barbecue is to be held weekly at Plymouth's Royal William Yard.
The team at the yard's The Hook and Line restaurant will run the events on the quayside to give people a chance to buy freshly and locally caught fish and learn about how to cook it.
Every Saturday during the summer, fresh fish can be bought either in one piece or filleted, and the barbeque will serve up tasty dishes at the same time.
The idea came from The Hook and Line's directors, Steven Page and Ben Squire, who owns a fleet of commercial fishing boats. They decided it would be good to allow people to buy some of Mr Squire's freshly landed catch without having to visit the commercial fish market at Sutton Harbour.
