A VILLAGE snooker club born to help First World War veterans recover from the horrors of battle will celebrate its 100th anniversary on Saturday.
The St Dominick Snooker Club will turn back time with a special ceremony and dinner, complete with period dress.
The event will see snooker club members past and present come together to share their memories of Victory Hall, the building gifted to the village by the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe.
"When the hall was built it contained a snooker table and a boxing ring and the idea was to help returning servicemen from the First World War rehabilitate and overcome their mental and physical injuries," said snooker club chairman Nick Shapland.
