PLYMOUTH PARKWAY.......................4
CHESHAM UNITED..............................0
Playing their first game since November 25, Parkway showed no signs of rustiness in a game that didn't kick-off until 4.30pm after Chesham, who travelled by train, were delayed in getting to Bolitho Park. And before they knew it, they were 3-0 down by half-time after goals from Reece Thomson, Tom Purrington and Mikey Williams.
Matt Wright added a fourth late in the second half to complete an emphatic win for Lee Hobbs' side, who also move out of the relegation zone as a result of their success.
Prior to kick-off, a minutes silence was impeccably observed as a mark of respect to a Parkway youth team coach, Mike Honeywill, who sadly passed away recently.
Despite the disrupted preparations for both sides - and on a tricky but playable surface - the game got off to a lively start with Chesham showing well in the early stages. But two goals in a minute turned the match on its head.
