THE parish priest chosen to be the next Bishop of Plymouth by the Pope has announced he is stepping back.
Canon Christopher Whitehead was announced as the next bishop in December. The 54-year-old was set to become the 10th bishop of the Diocese of Plymouth, which also covers the Cornwall, Devon and Dorset areas.
