Bob and Andy started strongly taking the first set 6-4, but Andrew and Chris started playing the more consistent tennis and forced Bob and Andy into unforced errors to take the second set 6-2 and had a lead in the third set of 5-2.
Bob and Andy found a bit of form to get to 5-5 and then found themselves 5-1 down in the tie-break but, with some clinical volleying from Bob and strong serving from Andy, they managed to claw their way back to 8-6 and take a much needed win.
There was a very tight match in Men's B, with games swinging one way and then the other, when John Putman and sub Steve Matcham played Andrew Regan and Pete Ireland. Either pair could have won it but John and Steve were happy to take the win 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Bravely playing in the heavy rain were James Driscoll and Mark Skerton angainst Alex Stephenson and Dominic Sivewright. James and Mark started the strongest taking the first two sets but Alex and Dom battled hard in the third set but it wasn't enough to stop James and Mark winning 6-0, 6-1, 6-4.
In the Ladies A Division, Luisa Warring and Sandra O'Sullivan fought hard but Nicky Trevaskis and Fiona Crutchley were just too consistent, winning 6-1, 6-0, 6-0.
