A BYSTANDER jumped into the fastflowing waters of the River Tavy and 'risked her own life' to help a woman whose car had plunged down a steep bank and into the river.
Dramatic pictures show the car on its side in the river after a woman driver had taken a four-metre plunge down a bank.
Multiple fire crews were called to Crowndale Road, in Tavistock, at around 3pm last Tuesday, December 3, after the vehicle plunged into the icy water.
