The teenager was swimming with a pod of dolphins in the Swan River in Perth, police said. First responders attempted to administer CPR but the girl was declared dead at the scene.
Another teenager, part of a group swimming in the river, said responding officers rushed to rescue the girl. The group were then asked to leave the water by a person on a jet ski.
