CANADIAN police have detained Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, a close aide of slain Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, in connection with a shootout case, sources said on Sunday. The Union home ministry had designated Dalla as a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) last year.
Government sources said that New Delhi would not seek his extradition as ties with Canada are cold after TH the latter's accusation of India's involveS ment in the killing of Nijjar, who was shot dead last June by masked gunmen outside a gurudwara in Canada's British Columbia province.
