Metro Rail May Delay Completion of Flyovers

CMRL has announced that foundation for the flyover pillars will have to be constructed as per its specifications

WITH Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) announcing that the metro rail project may start early next year, officials in the state highways department say the flyover work on Sathyamangalam Road would be delayed as it will have to be constructed in coordination with the railway project.

CMRL managing director MA Siddique on Tuesday said phase one of the metro rail project would have two corridors – Avinashi Road and Sathyamangalam Road. Further, he said the NH department will build the flyovers in accordance with the metro rail project.
