FIR against asst prof for 'forging' signature

CUTTACK collector Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde has filed an FIR in Lalbag police station against an assistant professor of Ravenshaw University for forging the signature of the district election officer for her personal gain during the 2019 general elections.

The assistant professor in Odia department had reportedly applied to the registrar of Ravenshaw university seeking relief from election duties from April 8 to 20, 2019 to attend a refresher course in Central University of Rajasthan by producing a forged letter issued under the signature of the deputy election officer, Cuttack.
