Bengaluru-Rural MP and former director of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Dr. C. N. Manjunath who inaugurated this state-level convention said that, earlier the country's literacy rate was only 20 per cent and the cultural percentage was about 80 per cent. But now, the literacy percentage has rocketed, and the percentage of culture has considerably reduced.
Dr. Manjunath said that youths are becoming the victims of bad habits and addicts to mobiles, TVs and social media, and parents play an important role in shaping their children as good citizens. So, they should not yield to all their demands, because if they do, then their children will have to pay a high price in future," he warned.
