SOMANAHALLI Mallaiah Krishna, Karnataka's tenth chief minister (October 11, 1999, to May 28, 2004), who put Bengaluru on the world information technology map, breathed his last in the wee hours of Tuesday at his residence at Sadashivnagar in Bengaluru. He was 92.

Former external affairs min S M Krishna passes away

Krishna, a recipient of the second highest civilian honour Padma Vibhushan, was suffering from age-related issues for a while. The last rites of the veteran leader will be performed with full state honours in his hometown Maddur in Mandya district on Wednesday.
