IN A BID to tackle the persistent garbage issue, Sasthamcotta is set to establish a new waste treatment centre aimed at transforming the village into a waste-free zone.
One acre of land has been allocated for the project, with an initial budget of ₹36 lakh for its first phase.
The facility, located in Manakkara, will collect and process waste from all 19 wards of the panchayat.
