Kodagu police unearth fake gold jewellery loan scam, arrest 12

AS many as 12 accused have been arrested by Kodagu police in a fake gold jewellery loan scam reported across various banks in Kodagu.

The police are yet to arrest one more accused in the case.

The accused have been booked under BNS 11 and 223 gram of gold plated bangles and Rs 2 lakh cash have been seized. A total of 12 accused from Napoklu, Bhagamandala and Kerala state have been arrested in the incident. The accused were involved in creating fake gold bangles that resembled gold jewellery and pledged the jewellery in banks to avail loan.
