THE Vadavannur grama panchayat has come under scrutiny for its inaction on a complaint regarding sewage and kitchen waste polluting a wetlands just 120 m from its office.

The issue, ignored for seven months, was raised during the 'Karuthalum Kaithangum' grievance redressal programme at the Chittoor Nehru Auditorium on Monday, led by Ministers K Krishnankutty and M B Rajesh.

Vadavannur resident A Viswanathan highlighted the problem, stating that he initially filed the complaint in May 2024 but no measures were taken to address it.
