StanChart's social bonds: India to be major beneficiary

INDIA could be the biggest beneficiary of the proceeds of Standard Chartered's first ever social bonds issued to raise Euro 1 billion, or $1.09 billion.

The fund raised through the bonds will support the sustainable development of low-income countries across the bank's emerging market footprint, Standard Chartered said in a press statement on Saturday.
