Justice P Velmurugan, while confirming the trial court verdict, dismissed the revision petition filed by Shekher challenging the trial court judgment of conviction and the sentence of one-month imprisonment, along with a fine of ₹15,000. "The revision petition is dismissed. The conviction and sentence imposed by the trial court is confirmed," the judge said in the order.

However, he granted 90-day time for enabling Shekher to move the SC with a special leave petition against the order of the HC, as sought by his counsel.
