In a bid to empower women and foster entrepreneurship, the Andhra Pradesh government is driving initiatives to provide financial independence to rural women.
Kadapa district has disbursed ₹546.46 crore in loans to 6,447 self-help groups (SHGs) this fiscal year, achieving 63.67% of its ₹858.22 crore target for 2023-24.
In the district, 27,590 SHGs comprising 2,79,477 women are actively contributing to rural development.
