After HC order, over 70 cops, officials conduct inquiry at Isha ashram

OFFICIALS from the Coimbatore District Social Welfare Department, Child Protection Unit, District Child Welfare Committee and more than 70 police personnel conducted an inquiry at Isha Foundation's Ashram located at Velliangiri foothills on Tuesday.

After HC order, over 70 cops, officials conduct inquiry at Isha ashram

The action follows the Madras High Court's directive on Monday to file a status report listing out the cases related to the foundation. The court passed the order while hearing a habeas corpus petition filed by S Kamaraj, a retired professor, who claimed that his two daughters were being held captive at the foundation in Coimbatore.
