Fate of Mohammed Delf unclear: Hamas says nearly 300 Injured
Israel says Oct 7 attack mastermind targeted in camp strike that killed 90

THE Israeli army said it targeted Hamas military leader Mohammed Deif on Saturday in a strike on Gaza, after the Hamas-run territory's health ministry said dozens were killed in an Israeli attack on a displacement camp.

The army "struck Mohammed Deif and Rafa Salama, the commander of Hamas' Khan Yunis Brigade, who are two of the masterminds of the October 7 massacre", it said.

It came after the Gaza health ministry said 90 people were killed and about 300 wounded in an Israeli strike on the AlMawasi camp for displaced people in southern Gaza.

It is the latest mass-casualty incident in the Al-Mawasi area, where many Palestinians had fled, and came as international mediators pushed on with efforts to halt the nine-month war between Israel and Hamas militants.

The health ministry in Gaza said "half" of the dead were women and children and that there were 300 wounded, many in a "critical" condition.

Hindenburg report fails to dent mkt, Adani stocks fall

CONTRARY to expectations that the latest report of US short-seller Hindenburg Research, which has questioned the conduct of the Sebi chairperson while inspecting the Adani Group for manipulating stock prices would have a wider impact on the Indian equity market, the bulls of Dalal Street sidelined the concerns as the benchmark indices closed on Monday with just minor cuts.
