Israeli forces take control of Parliament building in Gaza City

ISRAELI Defence Minister Yoav Gallant on Monday said Hamas has "lost control" of the Gaza Strip it has ruled for 16 years. Soon after his comments, pictures began circulating on social media showing Israeli soldiers inside Gaza Parliament building in Gaza City, which they appeared to have seized.

"They don't have faith in the government anymore," Gallant added in a video broadcast on Israel's main television stations.
