THE Lok Sabha witnessed uproarious scenes on Tuesday over BJP MP Anurag Thakur's 'caste' jibes during the debate on the Union Budget.
Participating in the discussion, the former union minister took a veiled jibe at leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, who asserted on Monday in the Lok Sabha that INDIA bloc will pass caste census in the House.
"The one whose caste is not known is talking about the caste census. I want to remind the Speaker that in this House itself, a former prime minister had opposed reservation for OBCs," said Thakur.
