The nose landing gear of the aircraft detached while it was attempting a landing at the said airport Friday afternoon.
“On or about 3 p.m., Nov. 1, 2024, a C-295 aircraft of the PAF on an HADR (humanitarian assistance disaster relief) mission carrying essential relief supplies encountered an incident while landing in Basco Airport, Basco, Batanes,” PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo said in a statement late Friday.
