These 'madiskarte' moms mean business

In 2020, PLDT launched Madiskarte Moms PH, a mompreneur Facebook community, as a way for Filipino mothers to start and grow their home-based businesses to augment their family income during the height of the pandemic.

To celebrate the triumphs of these mompreneurs, PLDT Home recently held the annual Gawad Madiskarte Awards.

Now in its fourth year, Gawad Madiskarte 2024 received more than 100 applications, shortlisted 18 mompreneurs and their businesses, and awarded eight mompreneurs in two main categories: Start-up and Scale-up; and three special awards. Gawad Madiskarte gave out ₱1 million worth of prizes from PLDT Home, Tough Mama, and Lalamove.
