Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 29 May 2024 touched the feet of Kamala Moharana in a poll meeting at Kendrapara. Earlier, in Mann Ki Baat Modi praised Kamal Mohapara of Khairabad village on 26 February 2024 as she converted waste materials to beautiful materials.
The union government arranged flight tickets for Kamala and her son Mahendra to attend the Republic Parade in New Delhi.
