The re-launching of several businesses of Andrew Yule with a bang, a 160 year old company known across the country for its precision and high quality work which is now a central government undertaking is more thrilling than any reel story.

The “Tea machinery division” which has earlier been supplying tea machinery to tea gardens and the unit had long being closed is being revived and relaunched with modified strategies. Now, Yule will not only manufacture the machines it will do the necessary maintenance Similarly, the projects division which has been handling “Air pollution Control” and “Water pollution control” projects and was closed is being re-set-up with an aim to have projects as one of the business segment of Andrew Yule, said Mr. RS Manku, Director (planning). Mr. Manku further said that currently they are doing a project of ‘Supplying water to Kharagpur Settlement’ for South Eastern Railways which is going to be completed shortly however prior to this Andrew Yule has successfully completed various projects related to water treatment and recycling, effluent treatment and sewerage treatment for various clients like NTPC, Mahanadi coalfields, Assan Sole Durgapur Development Authority, Eastern railways etc. Effluent Treatment Plant of 62.4 MLD at Kolaghat Thermal Power Station was also handled by Andrew Yule for West Bengal Power Development Corporation. So, Andrew Yule’s major pasture is the installation of Water Pollution Control (WPC) projects with different organizations.
