The visit to Vietnam from 15-18 October is at the invitation of Vietnam Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son.
Mr Jaishankar will cochair the 18th Meeting of India-Vietnam Joint Commission on Economic, Trade, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation with his counterpart.
During the visit, he will visit Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and is expected to hold talks with the Vietnamese leadership.
