Kerala High Court seeks state's response to plea seeking CBI probe into Naveen Babu's death

A single bench of Justice Bechu Kurian Thomas also sought the response of the state to the plea moved by Manjusha, wife of ADM late Naveen Babu seeking a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into his death. The court also issued notice to the CBI on the matter.

During the hearing, Manjusha's advocate requested the court to issue an interim order preventing the filing of a chargesheet by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Kerala police.

However, the court declined to issue any interim order to prevent the investigation officer from filing the final report in the case at this stage. The court will consider the case again on December 6.
