The first mystery of Red: An Artful Murder is the location of the enterprise.
The interactive murder mystery is keeping its venue under wraps and ticket-holders will find out only after making their purchase.
The third installment in the successful Crack The Case series by Sight Lines Entertainment is again scripted and directed by rising theatre powerhouse Krish Natarajan.
He says: "The thing about site-specific work is that the location really has to drive it. With this one, I thought an art gallery was a very adaptable space—anything can be in an art gallery—so it made sense."
Each show in the Crack The Case series offers Natarajan the opportunity to play with different tones and ideas.
Mind Hunter in November 2023 was dark and psychological, while Backstage Betrayal in April leaned into being comical and dramatic.
Blending the two, Red: An Artful Murder puts participants in an exaggeratedly snooty world of high-brow artists, which offers moments for humour.
