PARALYMPIC Team GB cyclist Archie Atkinson missed out on almost certain gold yesterday after a dramatic crash one lap from the finish line.
But it was a different story in the pool as our swimmers claimed three golds in just 40 minutes.
Cyclist Atkinson had to settle for silver in the C4 4,000m individual pursuit final after his bike slipped out from underneath him on the penultimate lap.
He was about six seconds ahead of rival Jozef Metelka of Slovakia when the tumble happened.
Afterwards, Archie said: "I think I'm OK. I can see my body is all in one piece... I'm happy. I couldn't have done any better than that.
