JASON ROY has slammed his treatment by England after being left out of the country's World Cup squad on the eve of the tournament in India.
A 50-over World Cup winner in 2019, Roy was left out in favour of Ben Stokes shortly before England flew out for a disastrous defence of the trophy.
And Surrey's masterblaster has labelled England's treatment of him "very poor" as he looks to build the next chapter of his career away from the international game.
"I'm disappointed in how it was all handled," said Roy. "They were very poor. It was their decision, but ultimately I'm the one that suffered.
"But I've got a lot of cricket left in me, so all I can do is focus and look forward. I can't dwell on what has happened there.
"It's done now, it's irrelevant, I can't go back there and play it [the World Cup] again. It's done.
"I go to South Africa in January, then Pakistan and then the IPL.
