Most British workers in a cost of living pay rise crisis

THE vast majority of workers have either thought about asking for a pay rise or have actually done it - to help with the cost of living crisis.

In a survey, 68% said they had considered requesting more money from their bosses, while 25% said they had asked for extra cash.

Of those, a quarter did manage to get some extra money but only 5% received a wage rise above the current sky-high 9% inflation rate.
