Mumbai: The controversial grades awarded by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to Indian higher education institutes will be completely scrapped. Instead, the assessment body, in a remedial process, is looking at making accreditation a binary process. This means that universities and colleges will be tagged as either ‘accredited’ or ‘still-to-be accredited’.
