 Cuddle up with your cat or dog for company and watch the atmosphere turn lighter instantly. Studies have pointed out how interacting with animals, even for a short while, can lessen levels of cortisol (a stress-related hormone) as well as reduce blood pressure. It is for this reason that in the West, several workplaces are adopting a pet-friendly policy that permits dogs and cats in the office, a place usually considered to be a competitive, challenging arena.
