Indian students have outscored the Chinese as the single-largest nationality to get the most UK student visas this year, soon after totting up a similar US record.
The UK issued nearly 1.3 lakh students visas to Indians in the year ended September 2022-273% more than the 34,261 in the same period of pre-Covid 2019, according to UK Office for National Statistics data. The numbers are in line with the post-pandemic trend of Indians being the largest group to flock to the world's most-sought after-education destinations.
