Moderate rain triggers torrent of misery in Hyd, worst yet to come

Hyderabad: With the city lashed by rain for over 24 hours, several low-lying areas went under water and many roads were wrecked in its aftermath, triggering bumper-to-bumper jams on Saturday.

Rescue teams from NDRF, GHMC’s emergency monsoon teams and HMWSSB teams swung into action to pump out water from flooded localities in LB Nagar, Uppal, Malkajgiri, Saroornagar, JBS Circle and Rasoolpura.
