PM: Tech is being used as a weapon against poverty

Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country is using technology as a weapon against poverty.

 On the inaugural day of the 25th edition of the Bengaluru Technology Summit (BTS), Modi said schemes such as Svamitva (the government's property survey programme) are helping the poor.

In the virtual address, he noted that India has made progress in ease of doing business. Talking about FDI reforms, liberalisation of drone rules, and incentives for manufacturing, Prime Minister Modi said, “India is no more a place known for red tape. It is known for red carpet for investors”
