POOR TRACK TOSSES IRL FIRST LEG OFF GRID BEN

The inaugural Indian Racing League (IRL) failed to kick off as the organisers were forced to cancel the first leg at Hussainsagar here on Sunday.

Blaming it on half-baked preparations, poorly-laid track and a minor accident, the IRL on the newly laid street circuit ended as a damp squib. However, the saving grace was the JK Tyre National Racing Championship (JKNRC), which managed to complete its penultimate round.
