Mumbai: The decision to shift the radar for the Navi Mumbai airport was jointly taken during an online meeting held on July 22, attended by officials of Cidco, the civil aviation ministry, AAI, Navi Mumbai airport and others.
“AAI is likely to commence issuing permissions within the first week of August. The applicants must make an application to AAI for seeking permissions above 55.1m. This citizen-friendly decision will pave the way for the smooth development of Navi Mumbai International Airport, complementing the growth of not just the surrounding airport area but the entire MMR region as a whole,” said Mukherjee.
