CR braces for 27-hr block; BEST to run 47 spl buses

Suburban services on the main line as well as Harbour line will not be available during the 27-hour mega block to facilitate demolition of the British-era Carnac bridge located between CSMT and Masjid.

Mumbai: 

The demolition of the bridge will start at 11 pm on Saturday and conclude at 2 am on Monday., Central Railway officials said.

Central Railway’s chief public relations officer Shivaji Sutar said, “Main line services will be suspended from CSMT between 11 pm on Saturday and 4 pm on Sunday. Harbour line services will also be suspended at the same time but services will resume at 8 pm.”
