On Sunday, another gold was added to India’s tally at Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 as weightlifter Jeremy Lalrinnunga clinched a gold in the men’s 67kg competition. Talking about his debut at CWG, the 19-year-old from Aizawl says, “I am happy but I am not satisfied with my performance. Mujhe performance dikhana tha ki main kitna (weight) utha sakta hoon but unfortunately during the warm-up, I got a cramp. I was not able to walk, coach ne bas stage tak pohancha diya. But now I will rest because I got the medal.”
